Joshua Tree National Park Map Art: Rustic Wood Wall Decor

This is an original piece using a recycled park map. First I take a real wood slab, then I cut and place different parts of the park map onto the wood. I try to display the most popular places and spaces in the park and the main attractions. Once the map paper is dried to the wood, I then laser engrave into the wood displaying the place in large, bold letters.

Joshua Tree National Park is a favorite in our park system! I have been there several times and wanted to come up with a creative way to use my maps. This is a unique piece for your palm dessert home.
